Roy Gilham

Roy is a freelance writer and translator with a passion for Asian languages and culture. After reaching fluency in Mandarin Chinese, he turned his attention to Japanese, quickly finding success through an immersive approach. Drawn to Japan by his interest in Japanese movies, haiku poetry, and Zen Buddhism, he has travelled widely through the country. Roy has previously written articles and grammar lessons for Chinese language learning platforms such as Mandarin Blueprint. He lives and works out of Yunnan, China, where he teaches English and literature to foreign students.
