In order to use this website, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration, a user is required to give certain information (such as a name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest.
When you sign up for our platform using Google Sign-In, we collect your name and email address as provided by your Google account. This information is used to create and manage your account, and to provide you with a personalized experience.
We collect and use your information to ensure the fulfilment of this service. You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services without this information.
We use tools that analyze user behavior on our platform to improve user experience. These tools may collect information such as user interactions (e.g., clicks, scrolls, and navigation patterns), device information (e.g., screen resolution, browser type, and operating system), and IP address and location data. This information is anonymized and used solely for enhancing our platform and services.
When you use our Chrome extension to import videos to our platform, we collect metadata related to the video, including the title, description, duration, and source. This metadata is used to organize and display your imported videos within our platform.
When you tap the microphone in speaking practice, roleplay, or the onboarding speaking quiz, we capture your voice for that attempt so it can be graded. We do not store the raw recording on our servers.
When you use roleplay, we collect the text you type or say, the roles and scenario you write, and the resulting conversation transcript, so you can review your history and earn progress.
We keep a record of the words and grammar you mark as known or are learning, and use it to personalize videos, drills, and roleplay.

We may share your email address with third-party services, such as Google, Meta, MailerLite, to enhance our advertising and efforts. This includes using your email for ad tracking, targeting, and sending marketing communications.
We will only retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide you with the Service. To protect your information, should your account become inactive for an extended period of time, we will remove your account and all associated information.
We log general information about your browser whenever you visit our website. This information may include your browser type and version, the pages you visit on our site, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on each page.
Like most website operators, we collect this data to better understand how our visitors use our services, and how we may improve your experience of our website in future. We do not share data specifics publicly, but may disclose aggregated and anonymised versions of this information, eg. in website usage trend reports.
We use "cookies" to collect information about you and your activity across our site. A cookie is a small piece of data that our website stores on your computer, and accesses each time you visit so we can understand how you use our site and serve you content based on preferences you have specified.
If you do not wish to accept cookies from us, you should instruct your browser to refuse cookies from our website, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired service without them. This policy covers only the use of cookies between your computer and our website; it does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.
We rely on service providers who may process your personal information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. They provide protection of your data equal to this policy.
Speaking practice, pronunciation scoring, and roleplay conversations are powered by third-party artificial-intelligence (AI) services. On iOS, before you use these features for the first time, the app shows you what will be shared and with whom, and asks for your permission; nothing is sent to an AI service until you tap Allow. On other platforms, using these features sends the data described below.
What we send:
Who receives it:
How long we keep it: we do not store your raw voice recordings on our servers. Transcripts of what you said, your scores, and the AI's replies are saved to your account so you can review your progress, and are deleted when you delete your account.
These providers process your data only to deliver the feature to you, under their business API terms, and are required to protect it to a standard at least equal to this policy. We do not sell your voice or conversation data, and we never use it for advertising.
Your choices: on iOS you can withdraw your permission at any time in the app under Profile > Privacy > AI speaking & roleplay. Speaking and roleplay features then stay off until you allow them again; everything else in HayaiLearn keeps working. On any platform you can simply not use these features.
HayaiLearn uses YouTube API Services to search for, display, and play YouTube videos inside the app and on this website. By using these features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. The Google Privacy Policy explains how Google handles data collected through YouTube API Services and the embedded YouTube player.
We store only the public video ID and metadata (title, description, duration, channel) of videos you watch or save, together with your watch progress, so we can show your history and recommend videos. You can remove a saved video from within the app at any time.
We keep personal information only as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account at any time from the Subscription screen in the app, or by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your account removes your profile, learning history, and conversation transcripts. Inactive accounts may also be removed.
We take precautions to protect your information. However due to the nature of information transmission and data storage, no method can be 100% safe and therefore we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information you share with us.
This website contains links to other sites unaffiliated with us. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.
We may from time to time update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of such changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. Your continued use of this site after any changes to this policy will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information.
